Francisca Marcelino

Francisca is an empathetic and cheerful person, guided from an early age by a motto that inspires her daily: “Leave the world a little better than we found it,” as Baden-Powell said. She believes in the power of small actions and that we all have a responsibility to contribute, each in our own way, to a fairer and more conscious world.

A biologist by training, she holds a degree in Marine Sciences and a master’s in Marine Ecology, with a special interest in shark behavior and the impacts of plastic pollution on marine ecosystems. She has worked in Croatia and Turkey, experiences that strengthened her resilience and ability to adapt to different contexts and cultures.

At Help Images, she is involved in the WOMEN FROM THE SEA project, where she coordinates CRM management, writes scientific content for social media, and is also responsible for institutional contacts and collaborations with partner organizations.
Francisca brings together two areas that have always fascinated her: the ocean and the power of visual storytelling. By combining science and media, she seeks to contribute to greater awareness and social consciousness.
